Forming Fabrics of Double Layer Extra
2.5 Layer Forming Fabric
2.5 layer forming fabric (double layer extra structure) incorporates additional CD yarns into the fiber support area or sheet side of the fabric. The two top filling yarns are designed to increase the fiber support index of the fabric. The bottom filling yarn is of an increased diameter to ensure long life.
Board & Packaging grade
Coarse mesh construction
- Improved fiber retention.
- Balanced formation and drainage.
- High fabric stability.
- Longer fabric life.
- Optimized two-sidedness.
Medium mesh construction
- Good sheet formation.
- Better fiber retention.
- High drainage capacity.
- Low two-sidedness.
- Higher stability.
- Lower wire mark.
Tissue grade
Very fine, uniform sheets, high softness
Super fine mesh and dense yarn count
- High fiber support and retention: supports short fibers and fines, minimizing fiber loss and improving sheet strength and bulk.
- Excellent formation: very uniform fiber distribution.
- High drainage rate.
- Minimized wire mark.
- Good stability and CD strength.
Printing grade
A balance between excellent formation, fiber retention, drainage, and cost efficiency
- Fine mesh, high number of filaments on top layer gives excellent fiber support, smooth surface, fine formation.
- Superior sheet formation.
- Excellent fiber and filler retention.
- Low wire marking.
- High machine speed compatibility.
- Balanced drainage.
